For a ‘gal’, I’m pretty handy/mechanical - got my own tool bag and some oft-used tools. I get tools for Christmas presents! Even took on some plumbing in the house this past winter & ‘got ‘er done’ to the absolute amazement of my elderly parents (& saved them a big plumbing bill)!!
My dad is very mechanical & my maternal granny was the equipment fixer (big stuff - tractors, combines) on their farm. If anything broke, granddad was calling for her so I guess I inherited a lot of ‘mechanical/handy’ genes .... it’s a REALLY good thing to have. :-)
Don’t you just love being able to fix stuff?
And YouTube tutorials are great for what we don’t know how to fix.
I haven’t been able to work due to health but by God I try my best to keep my hard working husband from having to do anything when he finally gets home. I do just about everything around here so the dragonslayer can put his feet up,eat dinner and have a cold one.
Before our first Christmas together, I asked wife what she wanted as a present.
She said “belt sander.”
Excellent skills to have! Wish I were a bit more mechanical. I guess I should learn, LOL!
