I LOVE My zero-turn! I have a 42” mower from Airens with a Kohler motor.

It has had two trips to the shop though, but both things covered under warranty, so no out of pocket expenses for me. It was the one thing I kinda splurged on when I sold my other farm and moved out here. Your mower would be too much for me to handle!

I had an old (and I mean OLD!) Craftsman rider from Sears at my other place; I left that behind for the kids that bought it. It survived 3 teen boys doing the mowing, and, of course, all sorts of dare-devil stunts!

That zero-turn is a BLESSING! I can do the house yard in 2 hours now, versus a two DAY workout with the push mower.

Happy Mowing! :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Amen to that! It took me a week on the tractor-style mower to do all the fields & the area around the house we call the ‘yard’. If I’m out from early morning to evening, I can do the whole place in one day, but I have to be on the mower all day. Now, I do it in two long afternoons .... early morning mowing with the wet grass is not a good thing. Also, The zero is a lot more comfortable - no feet required (keeping pressure on a pedal is tiring when you do it for hours) and no “horsing” a steering wheel trying to turn it around.

We’re keeping the little tractor - it can pull a cart & that’s primarily what I use it for. That poor little thing cut a lot of grass before I got the zero & I’ve now about worn the zero out, but it will work just fine for my relative with the large lawn. This big commercial one will cut even more time off the mowing - can’t wait to use it. Currently, I’m holding my breath using the other zero - will it make it through the mowing this time? Carburetor has been rebuilt twice this spring & we finally just put a new one on. It IS running, but I think it could run better if a “real” mechanic got to working on it. Anyway, the new one has a 36 month warranty so I’ll be “good” for a while!
