I know what you’re thinking: I hope someday there will be a really scary and easy way to create fake videos and misinformation—in which it appears that people are saying words that they never originally said.

Rest assured, this Philip K. Dick dystopian nightmare… is now a reality.

Scientists from Stanford University, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Princeton University and Adobe Research have developed a software that will allow you to edit and change what people are saying in videos—and pull it off to create a realistic-looking fake.

The cat is out of the bag. Software is downloadable and with the right video card, you can make your own. This has been around for a long time. Remember the movie “Running Man”? The helicopter scene with Arnold... the ‘Butcher of Bakersfield”. Now is the time to look for business opportunities to verify or invalidate existing video files. Ground floor business opportunity!

Now they are using computers to scan the internet and blocking sites which disagree with their message.

If you go to many sites with discussion boards frequented by young people and post anything remotely supportive of a conservative position, there will often be an almost immediate reply from a seminar poster with a long list of "facts" countering whatever you just said. These replies are so fast and so frequently not an exact answer to the point under discussion that I believe they have to be posted by either an AI bot or a Soros-hired monitor watching the popular board all day and waiting to cut-and-paste blocks of text to counter any dissident opinions.

The hour is late...

Ask the potential bot what 22 divided by 7 is... If it’s a bot, it’ll pick up the cpu. Until they figure that out and build in the the reply “pi”.

I told my wife in the future it'd be possible to edit film to make it appear real.

Forrest Gump meets Nixon. They were doing this in 1994 when you could still tell the difference.
Betcha they could fool ya 25 years later .

This is basically newspeak gone graphic. They will be able to change speeches and correct errors that will help build a Tyrannical Utopia for All.
