It’s all part of having a debased mind. How sad that she’s so unhappy that she has to steal other people’s joy with her selfish public display. But again, if a mind is really screwed up by choice in one way, it follows it will be skewed in other ways as well. It just gets to a point that clear thinking is simply not possible any more. Sad.
When the men and women in uniform who make life in this country the greatest in the world by being willing to step in front bullet for this country, and someone desecrates the symbol of their sacrifice in the name of what they call justice, then I am for wishing them to take the time, since they are such great athletes and statesmen/women, it appears, to go and visit a VA hospital and take the time to talk to people with missing limbs, broken bones to include spines so they can’t walk anymore, or people that are disfigured or unable to communicate from brain trauma because of head wounds, and then tell me you are moved by the actions of millionaires that use the backs of real fallen heroes for stepping stones for 15 minutes of fame. People like this are absolute trash. And too gutless to use their heads for something that really means anything in the improvement of life for their neighbors or families in this country. As long as she kept it to herself, I had no problem with her opinion that differs from mine in many ways. But now she’s no better than trash and doesn’t deserve to wear the USA uniform competing for a country she doesn’t identify with and make her millions.
I was dissatisfied with the actions of the women at the Thailand game. Now they are being represented in the media by someone that just flat makes me sick.
And just so anyone out there is going to ask me how I know, in 20 years active duty, I was hit in ‘Nam and shot twice, once in Iraq and once in Afghanistan. I’m now twice 100% disabled and home bound. Believe me, I thank God everyday for this country and the opportunity to serve her. And that flag over my head still brings tears to my eyes during the Star Spangle Banner. And I was one of the lucky ones. I still have a life. Others do not.

I am actively rooting against this team. I’m pulling for Italy, my ethnic heritage. But, I don’t care who beats this team as long as they don’t win the title. They are selfish (witness their classless celebrating 13 goals), entitled (looking for equal pay), and leftists (anti-Trump and national anthem). I’m sure there are some great gals on the team who will be tarred due to the loudest voices (Rapinoe, Morgan), but if they choose not to counter them, then so be it.

Some years ago, the Warroad, Minnesota (population 1,800) boys high school hockey team, beat the US women’s national ice hockey team. Warroad is pretty good, but I don’t think they are even remotely close to being the best high school hockey team in America.

This is the first instance in which I’ve seen a prominent person be chastised for not SINGING the anthem while it plays. My entire life I’ve watched athletes stand in silence during the anthem and thought nothing of it. Certainly I don’t belt out the anthem whenever I hear it. This is so silly.
Hey, dingbat: You're playing for the U.S. National Team. If you really believe there is rampant inequality and injustice throughout the United States, then get your ass off the team and get to work trying to rectify those issues. Otherwise, you're just a professional malcontent and a fraud.
And if you really see yourself as a social crusader, why don't you stage some kind of "peaceful protest" against the inequality and injustice that is far more prevalent in one of the Third World dumps whose national teams you play? You wouldn't even think of doing that. WHY NOT?
Rather simple I should think. If she is ashamed of her country she should not be on a sports team which represents it.
The anthem represents the flag. The flag represents the constitution
There is nothing in the constitution which represents nor favors inequality. The opposite, actually
