They are a small batch producer. Some brands are small enough that they only distribute locally or to “tested” areas in neighboring states.

The only location I know of that brings in nearly every bourbon is the City of Chicago and first-ring suburbs. Weller can be obtained in Tinley Park, IL (Little Red Jug outlets).

That’s what makes Rabbit Hole (uhhhh) unique. They had no established fan-base that I can tell but they were gobbled up by an international distributor.

Most small-batchers on the bourbon trail like it that way. So many great bourbons with old family names that are still family owned, have an established fan-base and make a profit.
