Interesting article...a few years ago it was G.E and Time Warner; Auto industries; etc. etc. there was only six biggies that owned the channels, I think they are lying because Comcast isn't that big, I have Basic with Comcast and they are begging all of us to up our packages...I don't know who owns them, but it is some corporation big...

Interesting. Still not clear if there’s any advantage to us other than a statement on the rights of private entities.
I read it as saying that the state has the right to say that all TV companies have to have public access channels. We have one in our town that I used to have a program on. But the NY state organization that is being sued is a PRIVATE organization that got a state grant to operate the publicly required channels and, because they’re private, they don’t have to follow the 1st amendment rules that the state would have had to if the state operated the channels directly.
Useful for ANYTHING other than the rights of private organizations to follow private rules? Bakery lawsuits?
