I dont know diamond much. I know that its light and brittle. It doesn’t let itself get cut, it shatters under concentrated load.

I’d speculate that a large mass diamond asteroid would shatter whereas a nickel alloy mass would retain its center of energy and, well... I’d opt for the diamond asteroid over my city. I’d be drinking in either case....

Metal values are based on the relative scarcity or plenty and the ease or difficulty in obtaining them. They drag that sucker back and it’ll have nickel prices bottoming out.

Lets say this is worth $10,000 quadrillion. and then let’s say it’s made out of pure gold. That makes the price of gold worth as much as clay found in the ground. It’s the scarcity of metals that make the value, not the over abundance
