The US women's soccer team has been slammed for wildly celebrating every goal in their 13-0 defeat of Thailand. The Women's World Cup favorites thrashed the minnows in Riems, France on Tuesday night and reacted to each goal as if it were their first. Thailand was never a real threat to the U.S. national team. Even so, the three-time Women’s World Cup champions had no desire to go easy on a lesser opponent in their opening game. Goals matter in the group stage.

People take sports too seriously.
Just wait until the trannies end up on the women’s team. The US will crush everyone. Zero complaints.
Field a better team. Celebrate team accomplishments. Each goal matters. The world needs to toughen up.

Since we know a boys high school level team can beat the best they have just send them and say they identify as female.

It was tacky, IMHO. Yes, goal differential could have meaning but engaging in bullying behavior is not worthy.
Title IX never required us to actually watch women’s sports.

They’re Americans - they SHOULD crush their opponents.
Not that long ago the general consensus was that gloating demonstrated a complete lack of civility.
Remember when we heard ‘If women run the world things would be different’?
Yep, with these women we’d see re-education camps for conservatives . . .
In male sports, if a team were celebrating like that in a rout there’d be a message sent in return. In soccer you can’t do that because of the red cards and suspensions. In hockey we all know what would have happened. And in other sports there would be other ways to send the message.
Goal differential matters but that excuse is now behind them. I always tell kids in the sport I cover ‘win with class and lose with class’. I even made a decision this year not to write up big blowout games on the web site.
The Women’s team did not win with class yesterday. After about the 6th goal you low key each succeeding goal.

I don’t know if the US Women’s National ice hockey team still does it, but several years ago, they lost to the Warroad, Minnesota (population 1,800) high school boys hockey team. They also lost to a few other Minnesota boys high school teams too.
