Palm Beach Gardens, FL A Florida television anchorwoman who taunted police and made racist comments during her drunk driving arrest in December was welcomed back to work after the charges against her were dismissed (video below).(snip)
Salley was pulled over on Alternate State Road A1A by Palm Beach Garden Police Officer Cameron Carver at approximately 10:20 p.m., after he spotted her driving without taillights, The Palm Beach Post reported.
After Officer Carver notified Salley that she appeared to be driving with only her daytime lights activated, she turned her nighttime lights on and began playing with her cell phone, bodycam footage showed.
Whats wrong? the officer asked her early in the stop.
You, she retorted. I dont feel like being pulled over right now.
Salley complained about having been stopped while her passenger appeared to gather paperwork for the officer.
How much have you had to drink tonight maam? the officer asked her at one point.
Salley told him shed had one drink, at which point Officer Carver that he detected a pretty strong smell coming from her breath.
I dont care what you have to say, she replied, not looking up from her cell phone.
Officer Carver ultimately had Salley step out of her vehicle to perform field sobriety tests.
The law doesn't work for people who look like me, she said at one point. But thats okay.
Salley also issued a warning to her fiancé while she was performing her field sobriety tests.
Watch out they may shoot you even though youre not black! she told her.
K, that was a very racist comment, Officer Carver noted.
Yeah it was, she retorted. I have a Masters degree! What do you have?

Man, the ole Ugly Stick hit hard on that one. Must take two hours in make-up before it’s time to take Camera One on the Anchor Desk.
I’ll see your Master’s Degree and raise you a drunk driving charge.
That said, ‘tacky fake crime’ should give her employers reason to watch her closely...
DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM! HOMEY!
She also taunted the cop who arrested her, because he was bald.
She was on the tube today acting all giddy.
Next, she will sue the Palm Beach Gardens PD for false arrest and walk away with millions from the taxpayers.
Worth noting that car has auto on headlights. Which means the idiot managed to turn off the auto-on at dark setting.
She sounds blasted! “ I have a (hic) Masssters degree (hic)”
And it was dropped.
An affirmative action hire for her TV show. We all know about non-Whites and master’s degrees: affirmative action works there too.
They must have plastered a ton of makeup on her. She so ugly she went to the beauty salon and it locked the doors on her.
The Jussie Smollett Rule applies: “I’m guilty, but I’m black, so charges are dropped.”
— The soft bigotry of low expectations
After Officer Carver notified Salley that she appeared to be driving with only her daytime lights activated,...
I've seen a lot of that lately. How can you know so little about the car you are driving and have such lack of situational awareness while driving?
Typical spoiled entitlement behavior.
A former boss of mine had a brother who was a cop in an upscale jurisdiction. He had multiple horror stories of pulling over local TV anchors. Nearly always drunk, full of themselves, and abusive.
“Do you know who I am? I can have your badge!”, Yadda Yadda.
Ummm...well Missy...I have your license, your registration and in a minute I'll have your keys and then I'll have your car impounded...and then YOU'LL have to have your fiancé come pick you up from the drunk tank. How's them apples?
There was a TV anchor in the Atlanta area who kept getting arrested for DUI. I don’t know if she was ever abusive to the cops, though.
From the Youtube comments
“The white lady in the car with her is believed to be her lover which is the President and General Manager of WPBF News. Basically she's sleeping with her Boss”
