That reminds me of something that happened at a youth baseball tournament the other night. After the game I was attending, the teams made a circle and prayed. This mom sitting by me went ballistic and was muttering about how wrong it was and how they should have allowed children who did not want to participate to leave the field and that baseball is not a “Christian sport.” She’s a military wife from a New England state and college educated at a pricey Jesuit school in NYC. The next day, they had a prayer over the loudspeaker prior to games starting, and she sat rigidly during the prayer but stood for the national anthem. Her husband stood for both. I’m not sure what his views are. She had told me that she’s an extreme liberal.
Aren’t all liberals extreme. LOL
