Police in the Dominican Republic believe former Boston Red Sox star David 'Big Papi' Ortiz was shot by two cops hired by a Dominican Republic drug lord who believed the baseball player was having an affair with his wife, DailyMail.com has learned.
Three law enforcement sources confirmed the motive on Monday as Ortiz, 43, recovered in the hospital.
The drug lord has not been named.

Haiti's first move after gaining independence was tracking down and murdering anyone who looked white or even part white. That worked out pretty well except for the part about the rest of the civilized world wanting them to pay some sort of annual reparations as a ticket for reopening any trade.
They still use that as an excuse as to why they are impoverished two centuries later.
Their second move was to invade and annex the Dominican Republic. That didn't work out so well either.

I hope he wasn’t screwing around on his wife. Sigh.....
Big Papi needs to leave the sh*thole Dominican Republic ASAP and never go back. If he’s enraged a drug lord, it’s only a matter of time before the drug lord tries to have Big Papi killed again.
