While a bit off topic, last night a commercial during the NHL hockey playoff game by the Female CEO of Discover card and her tiny donation to young girls hockey...was pathetic. She went on and on and on and on and on about how Discover was going to level the field for girls hockey. Give me a break...get that crap over with so we can get back to real hockey.

If they don’t have anything (even a notable short) in their portfolio, they aren’t going to get the call to direct features.
>>Only 17% of the 120 top-grossing animated films from 2007 to 2018 had a female lead or co-lead,
How many animated Disney films in history focused on a female lead or co-lead?
More women are showing up at conventions these days. To look at movie stars and dress up in cosplay costumes. But to read? Not so much.
And there are women who go to draw or paint, but do they make films or publish comics?
Because "Finnish Paradox" sounds better than "People like us, who presume to judge other people's decisions, are too stupid to be allowed to steal oxygen normals need, and should certainly never be allowed anywhere near political power. Naturally, we were wrong from the getgo, like always."
True, but not quite as snappy.
