Imo you are in THE best part of NJ with towns like Franklin Lakes, Ho-Ho-kus, Ridgewood, Alpine, Allendale, Ramsey.
Actually, I am fairly close to Newark and the Oranges. A very small town with gas lamps and inundated with NYers as there is a good train line and great schools. I look out on trees and greenery and woods. But I understand about the area you mentioned. Just the best!!
