If your vision is anything like mine, you'd probably want to put your reading glasses on in order to better see these graphics I've posted below. I could posted them in higher resolution but figured it would have slowed things down too much.
From today’s New York Post...
Were down to the final leg of horse racings biggest trio of runs.
The 151st Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday in Belmont Park, New York. The top two competitive horses are expected to leave the gate side-by-side.
Betting favorite Tacitus drew the outside post, while Preakness Stakes winner War of Will will start from post 9, just inside his fellow competitor.
Although there will be no recipient of the Triple Crown due to the controversial events that occurred at the 145th Kentucky Derby, there are still several familiar names to keep an eye out for. ...”

Here again is that part of the Derby...
Following comments are from the official results chart for the race.
WAR OF WILL [#1, also w/pink jockey silks] found a good spot saving ground off the leaders under a firm hold, continued along reserved waiting for room into the far turn, shifted outside MAXIMUM SECURITY [#7, pink silks, on the lead] leaving the three-eighths pole, was forced out by that rival into LONG RANGE TODDY, checked hard off heels, remained prominent in the three-path to upper stretch and weakened.

Wow, now I know why I dont follow horse racing... one needs a post grad degree and deep pockets. I have neither. Hope they have a good race.
Thanks much!
On the 04May19 Derby line, Maximum Security is still shown as the winner. Strange.
$2 on Tacitus.
BTW, love your dad's (or grand dad?) performance in the 2007 Breeder's Cup Classic, holding on for second to the great Curlin! Made a fortune off the exacta!
Youre the only one who ever noticed. My all time favorite horse, never ducked any horse with balls to wall every time out. God had money on Street Sense in the Derby that year.
He not only had great early speed, but also great staying power in the stretch. Hard-nosed. Wouldn’t quit easily. That’s always an excellent combo to look for in a horse. Many of the greats had it.
BTW, did you work out how much I made on that Curlin/Hard Spun exacta in the 2007 BC Classic? Had $50 on it!!
$1800 or so, enough to make your uncle smile.
Great crop of three year olds that year.
That correct! I was actually thinking I made a lot more off of that exacta. But giving it some more thought recalled that I had also place a large bet on Curlin for second or maybe third? I do know I got back $3,500 on that one race.
BTW, In case you haven’t seen it, I re-posted this thread at 5:30 PM ET. If the mods pull it, we can come back here.
Tapit had a lot to give -
Beyond that, Tacitus is the rare horse that suggests the 1 1/2-mile Belmont should be to his liking. He’s a son of Tapit, who since 2014 has had three Belmont winners: Tonalist (2014), Creator (2016), and Tapwrit (2017). With a fourth Belmont win, Tapit—who also will be represented by Bourbon War and Intrepid Heart Saturday—will tie Lexington for the most by a sire.
I want to see Maximum Security, Country House War of Will, and Sir Winston all in the Breeder’s Cup.
