Getting one's own people slaughtered through piss poor leadership shouldn't be the metric on who did the most

On the Eastern Front, this true.

However this was a WORLD WAR and the United States were fighting Nazi's in North Africa, Italy, the Atlantic AND we were fighting the Japs largely by ourselves(Brits is have a few ships and men)

We were also bombing the Germany homeland long before a single Bolshevik set foot on German soil.

Add in we were sending vast amounts of war material through the Arctic routes(which wasn't easy) While the Reds were fleeing before the Nazi hordes , they were burning and blowing up anything that could be of use to the Wehrmacht, American factories were churning out trucks, tranks, airplanes and yes, SPAM to feed the fleeing Ruskies. Without our aid(shipped to them using our maritime shipping)

USSR might well have made a truce if America and all her material and manpower sat on the sidelines.

The Ruskies didn't jump in to fight the Japs until we dropped the bombs on Nagasaki and only to grab the Northern Japanese Islands for themselves.

Viewing the Slavic people as less than human but little better than Jews, he set his Einsatzgruppen goon squads to eliminate the "trash" for his "pure race". Which is tragic because as the Wehrmacht marched into these territories they were seen as liberators from the oppressive Stalinist regime

Had the SS enlisted and trained these oppressed anti-Bolsheviks people who already had a raging hatred for all thing Communist and Stalin in particular, these newly assembled divisions would have been more fanatical than the SS itself and would throw themselves into battle with such fever to avenge their fathers and brothers that Stalin, clowering in his bunker, would ponder whether cyanide or the rope would be the best options.

Britain wouldn't have lasted long and even if FDR developed THE BOMB, without England's airstripes to reach Berlin, the "Enola Gay" would be meet with a ring of ant- hostile anti-aircraft platforms, aided with a vastly improved radar detection, and waves of Messerschmitt 109's and Fluckwolf 190s and the new Messerschmitt 262 jet, Hitler would have effective control of the world.

Russia destroyed the Nazis, The Americans and the British Empire stopped the Communists completely taking over the continent. That was our contribution to Europe’s freedom.

IMHO Western material aid to Russia only sped up Germany’s defeat. It was a doomed prospect from the start. The USSR was simply far too big for Germany to defeat and occupy. It was an insane idea doomed to failure from the start.
