Back in March 2019, an elected government representative shared something personal about her spiritual identity. Not a preferred Bible verse or a conversion story. Rather, progressive New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shared her birth-time with a self-described psychic and astrologer, Arthur Lipp-Bonewits, who in turn shared her entire birth chart with what can only be described as Astrology Twitter. Astrology Twitter went wild. So did the mainstream media, with outlets from Vox to The Cut to Allure speculating about what Ocasio-Cortezs astrological chart could tell us about her fitness for political office. AOCs Aries Moon indicates that shes emotionally fed by a certain amount of independence, self-determination, and spontaneity, concluded Allures Jeanna Kadlec. But that independence always finds a way home. Meanwhile, Lipp-Bonewits told The Cuts Madeleine Aggeler that the stars predicted that Ocasio-Cortezs career in politics is likely to last the rest of her life.

It seems lots of people are their own self styled spiritual guru nowadays, preferring to believe anything but their Bible and worshipping anything but the one true God. It used to be that Christians would say “ Well at least they are into religion and/or spirituality” : How has that worked out?
“... the stars predicted that Ocasio-Cortezs ‘career in politics is likely to last the rest of her life.’”
Beats working for a living.
Her days in politics are already numbered.
I said to him "do you think that in any reduces the odds that hell exists?"
He gave me a blank stare.
I said, "let me add for emphasis, hell--the old Christian kind--either exists or it does not. Do you honestly think your belief or opinion on the matter makes one tiny bit of difference?"
I left him with the old Pascal's Wager dilemma.
"If you house insured? Is your car insured?"
"Aren't you taking a massive (unmeasurable actually) risk by not insuring yourself?"
Hell either exists or it doesn't. Jesus is either real or He isn't.
Eternity (i.e. time after death) is not in dispute.
I am amazed that people can and do make rational decisions about the odds of something befalling their house or car, but completely lose their capacity for rational thought when it concerns themselves.
She is the toof fairy.

I grew up a die-hard Christian, but rebelled against it at 18 and joined the military. In my late 20s, i took the vows as a buddhist, although i haven’t practiced it or even meditated since my 40s. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances and giving up hope, I’ve once again seen the error of my ways, and am back to being a practicing Christian. Part of my conversion back INVOLVED DISCOVERING SOME THINGS IN THE BIBLE WHICH PROVES ITS SCIENTIFIC ACCURACY.
Another affirmation I recently learned was that a group of buddhist monks crossed the border into Kenya and killed several Christians (4 or 5 years ago?)
So, now I see the black and whiteness of world religion, as the greyness no longer exists. You either worship Yahweh and believe Jesus is your Saviour, or you worship Satan.

If she perishes in a car crash next week, that prediction still would ring true.
She’ll become a millionaire in no time.
This is a not uncommon view (heresy) among Christians which may or may not tell you anything about the state of their soul.
I believe that CS Lewis had it right when he said:
There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.
They prefer hell because they cannot stand to be in the presence of God and will not willingly bend the knee.
They choose to be separated from Him forever.
I always scoff anyone who approached me with a question about my astrological sign (unless she was really hot).
What sign was I born under? Slippery When Wet . Was one of my common answers.
Never understood how leftists who proclaim themselves atheists could then turn around and pedal this BS.
Hell doesn’t exist. Evil doesn’t exist. The power of positive thinking cures diseases. Everyone is basically good. And, there are no false prophets. Where is Micah?

Just to return to reality for a moment...A. Hitler was a big time believer in astrology. Hitlers astrologer told him to attach Russia. Based on the star charts Germany attacked Russia. AOC will no doubt tell America that Insanity is the cure for mental illness.
Well thank God. It is He that draws us and/or draws us back. There was dancing in heaven when you came back bro!!!
There was dancing in heaven when you came back bro!!!
Except the Baptist, no dancing, just swaying in rhythm.
“...back to being a practicing Christian...”
Welcome back, prodigal paratrooper!
Ever notice how everyone these days is a religious expert? Everyone has competence to form and hold (and hold forth on) opinions, regardless of intelligence, education, or even the most elementary logical coherence. Everyone decides for himself what to believe, or embraces what some huckster is selling, and we’re supposed to respect that. No one seems to get that this metaphysical free-for-all is historically very recent, with no basis whatever on thousands of years of human history. It strikes me as largely a fruit of Protestantism as lived in America, where everyone is his own pope.
Progressives have rejected rationalism and the scientific method as well as Christian morality. What did anyone think was going to take the place of those pillars of Western Civilization?
The Left is willing to believe anything but the Truth.
