Is the Past Performances charts too blurry? They are for me without my reading glasses on. I don’t normally need them to read text on FR.
One not-so great thing about the #3, Master Fencer, is that, despite what most people who play horses may think, come from behind horses do not run nearly as well as front runners or just-off-the-pace horses in the long 1-1/2 mile Belmont. Historically, horses on the lead or just off it hang on very well.
A few years back I looked into this in some detail and posted on a Belmont Stakes Live Thread the (results) charts of the past 10 or so previous Belmonts. Damn near all were front runners or not-too-far off the pace.
