Maybe I’m missing something, the 70 y/o sees couple and a dog not supposed to be on the property has a gun, doesn’t pull it out, but tells them to they need to leave and get reservations then puts her gun away, and she’s made into the next Hitler on social media and is fired and now charged? Maybe I’m wrong but what did she do so wrong?

I don’t know the law in MS, but in most states you must not display a gun when confronting a person.
If you are open carrying, the handgun must remain holstered.
If you are carrying concealed, you must not allow it to be seen.
The explanation of that theory is really a perversion of logic. The “logic” is that you did not consider yourself in danger of bodily harm or death or you would have fired at the suspect. Therefore you actually committed a crime by threatening. The law in effect forces you to shoot if you pull the weapon.
Concealed carry courses teach you that you should never draw until it is certain that your life is in danger.
That is not logical but it is the law in many states.
Don’t cops pull guns all the time? Don’t they do it for THEIR safety? I’ve seen images of them pointing loaded firearms at members of the public. Did this lady point the firearm at the couple, or just hold it at her side?
The incident is overblown by the perpetually offended. She didn’t point the gun and the people are on private property without reporting to the owner of the property. I worked utility ROW even with high visibility vest and hard hat we attempted to contact the owner.
