Homelessness in L.A. is a catastrophe in motion, and our leaders are largely to blame

Despite Increased Spending, Homelessness Up 12% In Los Angeles County
“Homeless Population In LA County Jumps By 12 Percent; Nearly 59,000 Living On The Streets”

Just another chapter in the descent of America to third world status.
Out of work Lefty Actors ?
Lost Angeles is a shithole.
Where’s their Distribution Of Wealth ?
Sanctuary City - hooray! /s
Is it all Trump’s fault? Were there homeless under Obama? If so, only in a Red oppressed state.
Yeah, when's the last time you saw any form of price controls work? If you need a current example, take a look at price controls on food in Venezuela. Public housing? Ask St. Louis, Trenton, and Detroit how that worked out for them. Rent controls either foster non-market solutions (e.g., bribes) or units begin to deteriorate as landlords are squeezed by rising costs against fixed income. Rents controls are not a solution.
Deport the million or so illegal aliens that Bush jr and Obama stuck us with and SoCal would at least have some options for the homeless.
Our legal immigration policy is also a major reason that SoCal is now so damned crowded. And why it’s voting solidly Left-Democrat.
You make this sound like a problem when it actually seems to be a solution. Perhaps the skill sets in LA are more demanding than those in the lesser populated (i.e., agricultural) regions of the state. Seems to me moving out of LA is a viable solution.
L.A., Calif. etc. #MASA Vote (D)! (# Make America Shi7 Again)
I escaped L.A. Years ago thank GOD.
Leftists HATE the middle and working class. That is why middle and working class people are the first to flee leftist policies and government.
Leftists ALWAYS want a two-tiered system: One with them at the top, and a huge underclass worshipping them, begging them for food and other necessities.
The homeless crisis is created by artificially drying up the supply side of the housing dynamic. This is done through things such as rent control, NIMBY activism in the name of the environment or social justice (paid for and controlled by the elites), lengthy permit process, and anti-landlord laws.
Trust me, there are developers just chomping at the bit to build in CA, but the elites don't want them to. So they artificially dry up the supply of housing, then they create so-called homeless advocates who get federal tax-dollars to keep the homeless crisis going.
IT'S ALL A SCAM!
I drive past these tents every morning. This is not the decrepit part of Los Angeles. This is not skid row. This is in the nicer section of the downtown area.
If you are in a wheel chair, no chance to get down a sidewalk.
Why is this a surprise? When you allow your city to develop a reputation for not enforcing the law, this is what you get.
Hmmm...with no fixed address, that 36,000 can be moved around from district to district to influence voting...all it takes is a fleet ofvbuses and a progressive judge.
Soros will provide.
