Chicago Ald. Burke pleads not guilty in federal court

One of the most powerful aldermen in Chicago's history has pleaded not guilty to federal political corruption charges.

Alderman Edward Burke, 75, was straight faced throughout a very quick arraignment Tuesday morning. Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Burke and his two co-defendants; the alderman’s ward employee Pete Andrews and Real Estate Developer Charles Cui.

Yep, that means he’s guilty.

I can still remember his shenanigans when Mayor Washington died. He was a clown then.

That said, the story of the adopted son points to something much better.

Right. Alder creatures in shitcago have been able to carry concealed weapons since long before illannoy became the last state to pass concealed carry (in 2013). So the prick Burke wasn't affected by the 1982 gun ban at all. Furthermore, for all these years he has been the ONLY alderman to have 24 hour police bodyguards...for no known reason other than his political clout. A thorough smart assed rotter.
