The pastor of a northern Virginia church has apologized to his congregation for praying for President Trump when the president made an unscheduled stop at his church on Sunday.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we didnt see coming, and were faced with a decision in a moment when we dont have the liberty of deliberation, so we do our best to glorify God, Pastor David Platt of McLean Bible Church in Vienna said in a statement to church members. I found myself in one of those situations.

EVERYONE MATTERS TO GOD, AND EVERYONE MATTERS TO US!
At McLean Bible Church, were passionate about showing Gods love and telling His story. We didnt all come from a storybook Christian home. Those who worship here represent differing political views, backgrounds and life experiences. We care for everyone, including people with intellectual and physical disabilities, those suffering in poverty, young people in crisis and others who are neglected or overlooked.
Whether youve been burned by religion, have made mistakes or havent been to a church in years (or ever) we invite you to join us. You matter to us, and we want you to have
Well, now you’re going to Hell for placating Satan, ya’ idiot.
Yes....when we visited, late last year, there was a (former) stained glass window, dedicated to Robert E Lee, that had been removed and boarded up.
Sickening what we are allowing these anti-America lefties to get away with.
***Charlatan Revealed Alert***
And next week how many of his congregation, will still donate 10 percent without thinking
Pretty bad thing to do. All duly recorded for that day I’m sure.
Ask liberals to do even the simplest civilities to folks and they have to treat it like a political debate.
Has this pastor apologized for his state’s blackfacing governor or his raping attorney general?
One of those modern churches where nobody’s supposed to be offended by the Word of God. Of course, you have to cut out large portions of Scripture...
The tech at my dermatologist’s clinic is a pastor’s wife, who, while her husband was finishing college, was on the worship team at a church that was heading in that direction. One day during practice, the pastor announced to the worship team, “We’re not going to sing songs about the blood of Jesus anymore.” They found another church that wasn’t ashamed of the Gospel.
I’m sorry to say my brother attends that church. He doesn’t know any better, yet, but he and his wife have devotions every morning, and study the Bible every night, so I’m confidant the Lord will show him the truth.
We are called to pray for our leaders, Pastor, no matter who they are. Have you forgotten your calling?
Platt is probably a secret baby-raper...
Be a shame if a lightning strike burned down the church...
A minister apologizing for praying for a president?
_________
It is sad to think of any decent person asking a pastor for prayer and later finding out that he’s sorry he prayed for you. What kind of pastor is that? He should be glad the leader of our country believes in God and wants prayer.
And here I had a copy of his book “Radical” in my reading queue. guess I don’t need that message.
“Im trying to think of where equity is in the Bible. Maybe someone can enlighten me.”
Proverbs 1 (NKJV)
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
To know wisdom and instruction,
To perceive the words of understanding,
To receive the instruction of wisdom,
Justice, judgment, and equity.
Equity is referenced in a lot of places in the Bible.
Since this preacher shows bias and seems to judge based on what other people might think, he needs to pray for some equity for himself.

Well pastor resign. You are not worthy of your office.
This is what this pastor and those in his congregation who complained are:
Jeremiah 6:26-30
26 Put on sackcloth, my people,
and roll in ashes;
mourn with bitter wailing
as for an only son,
for suddenly the destroyer
will come upon us.
27 I have made you a tester of metals
and my people the ore,
that you may observe
and test their ways.
28 They are all hardened rebels,
going about to slander.
They are bronze and iron;
they all act corruptly.
29 The bellows blow fiercely
to burn away the lead with fire,
but the refining goes on in vain;
the wicked are not purged out.
30 They are called rejected silver,
because the Lord has rejected them.
In this instance, to paraphrase an oft heard radio commercial tagline for McLean Bible Church; it wasnt a prayer, it was just a thought.
Frequently aired radio commercials have made the founder and former senior pastor of McLean Bible Church something of a radio personality in the Washington, DC area.
Since 2017, the now senior pastor emeritus has expanded his ministry into a gospel centered 501c3 ministry reaching people through broadcast, print, bible studies and social media outlets.
