1955 brought a whole new appearance for cars.
1956, in all of the Big 3, brought an added
piece of chrome here and there, but nothing very new.

1957 moved the needle around a little.
I liked 1958, but my favorite car of
the era was purchased by a friend of
mine, the 1959 cat’s eye Impala coupe,
white over black.

He had his lowered and side pipes
installed with Smitty mufflers.
For a kid in high school, he was sui generis.

I remember 1959 Chevrolets with those wild staring taillights.

When the brake lights lit up, they said, “Get off my @zz!!”
