Friends Of Dog Hoarders Say They Had No Idea What Was Going On [136 dogs]

As more than 130 dogs were taken out of an Orange home — in deplorable conditions — it appears the owners of the property were animal hoarding and lost control.

Some close friends of the couple say they had no idea what was going on inside the home.

Officials said conditions inside the home were so deplorable (feces, urine, fleas) that the residence had to be red-tagged.

As the 136 dogs are being cared for, more details are emerging about Jo and Edward Reitkopp, the couple who owned the home.

Edward Reitkopp works for a prominent law firm. Jo Reitkopp worked for NBC.

Simpfenderfer says he met Jo when she created Make California Great Again, a group that campaigned for Donald Trump in 2016.

Simpfenderfer said he knew Jo loved dogs.

“She has a heart that fills this whole room,” he says.

Beware feral cats as well.

Madison home condemned after being taken over by feral cats

MADISON, Miss. (WLBT) - The condemned home sits on the cul de sac of Highleadon Place of the Sherbourne neighborhood.

“The house, I believe, has been vacant for 7 months,” said James Smith, HOA president of the neighborhood.

Smith said that while the house was vacated months ago, the feral cat problem as been an ongoing problem for years.

“The city has been trying numerous times to get access to it to actually get this process started because they had been made aware of the conditions and the health hazard of this property,” said Smith.

The health hazard was caused by the remains of cat feces and other animals. Smith said that neighbors have reported on at least 100 feral cats in the last few years.

Over 300 cats saved from hoarding situation in Toronto apartment

A local animal hospital received 38 of the kitties, most of which were in good health.

“Surprisingly, most of them [the cats], pretty much all of them were healthy,” said Karley Lux, an employee at Birch Dan Animal Hospital. “There’s no fleas or infection…which is pretty surprising.”

In March, Toronto Cat Rescue helped save 105 cats from a single home

Stories of people having too many dogs, cats, rabbits etc are common. The hook on this one is the woman is a Trump supporters.

Anyone believer that of the thousands of stories like this that ANY ONE of them mentions the person was a Hillary supporter and favors Biden?

This is pure crap... liberal propaganda.

Honkies used to have kids.

Now they have animals.

I wonder if Mexicans or people from Mali are ever shown to hoard pets?

It’s bad for the people too, I have known people who have died because of dog and cat hair and the flaky stuff in their lungs.

“I think hoarding too many dogs or cats are actually BAD for the animals.”

Absolutely true. In addition to current health issues there are chances of the dogs inbreeding which could lead to future health problems.

Our German shepherd rescue is monitoring the situation. We have agreed with the Orange County Animal Shelter to take any German shepherds found.
