I was just promoting an observation I made in the past, that on various Russian websites you can obtain just about anything that is illegal elsewhere. Hence the “.ru” reference.
Machine guns & machine rifles/carbines are readily available in Sub-Saharan Africa, where they are sold openly in the local markets.= Functional AK-47 & AK-74 FA rifles are commonly available for about 35.ooUSD each & for about 650.ooUSD per case of 24 in “as new” condition.
When I was last over there, there was a COLT’S Model of 1895 Heavy MG with brass tripod & accessories in 6mm Lee-Navy was on display & for sale at 300.ooUSD. - It was manufactured in 1997, according to the SN.
A Colt’s “Tater Digger” with tripod weighs about 110 pounds & is UNSUITABLE for use by criminals, so there’s NO good reason (other than the IGNORANCE & HATEFUNESS of the ANTI-GUN morons) to NOT allow collectors to self-import such over a century old CURIOS & RELICS. - Fyi, there is NOT even any ammo in that obsolete caliber available any more.
(As I am a C&R Licensee, I would have bought the Colt’s MG, IF I could have lawfully imported it for my collection.)
