You can buy antique and modern handguns, rifles & shotguns - no full autos - but you have to have it sent to an FFL, after filling-out multiple forms online. and getting approvals, and still more forms at the FFL.
Remember when you could buy them at any five and dime store vending machine for a dollar? At least we can still order them over the Internet and have them delivered right to our homes by the USPS and UPS with no background checks and real cheap at that.

He does not tell Brazilians that they have had much tougher gun laws than the United States, for over 20 years.
Their homicide rate has increased to 6 times that of the United States, currently, while the U.S. homicide rate has fallen in half over the last 20 years.
During that same period we made carrying a gun for self defense, legally, much easier in the United States, and increased the number of guns in the private stock by 50%!
You forgot that an NFA Tax Stamp is required for each machine gun.
Right after Newtown I bought an AR, shotgun, and signed up for a ccw class to get my permit. 2 months later after some research and some gun classes I bought my first GLOCK, a 26 which is still my usual ccw weapon.

Actually, A TANK with FUNCTIONAL CANNON is fairly easy to buy, presuming that you have a clean record & the $$$$$$$$.
I know a gentleman in Northern VA that owns more than a DOZEN of them. - I was invited to his annual BBQ, where the big guns are fired.
(That fully restored King Tiger is AWESOME.)
He also owns/flies a fully functional MIG 23 Russian fighter that he bought in Ukraine.
Note: The piece that he owns that I’d REALLY like to buy from him is the 50MM (about 2-inch) bore breech-loading cannon from the pre-WWI era. = He has the ammo cart, tools, accessories & complete horse harness for it too.
