Former Fox News Host Bill O'Reilly said President Trump called him Wednesday night to allege special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election was a "personal thing."
In a Thursday morning radio appearance on the show "Bernie and Sid in the Morning", O'Reilly said Trump called him at 11 p.m. the night before to discuss Mueller's findings, alleging that Mueller had to "signal to the swamp" that he "still believes that Donald Trump did something illegal."
"Trump says Mueller doesn't like him because he turned him down to be the head of the FBI after he fired (James) Comey," O'Reilly said. "The president says that Mueller lobbied for the job and Trump turned him down."
On Wednesday, Mueller made a dramatic appearance at the Justice Department to discuss his investigation. Mueller announced he was closing his office, and that his team could not have brought charges against Trump given Justice guidance prohibiting charges from being brought against a sitting president.

Big deal. Trump’s said that many times, for months.
Name dropper. Boo.
And I doubt Trump even called this has been in the first place.
He told an aide to call Sean Hannity maybe. Aide goofed and called Blowhard Bill by mistake.
FBI Directors are supposed to serve only 10 years. Zero extended evil Mueller’s time to 12 years. Mueller wasn’t eligible to come back as director after Comey. There should have been no further discussion on his continuing.
Bill is lonely and wants attention.
On the contrary, Trump told him to repeat it far and wide. Making progressive heads explode, drumming up interest in the situation so that when the treason (sedition?) is revealed, it will ensure the widest possible audience. None of this is a mistake or coincidence, imho.
Anyone remember when Bill O’Reilly held up blank pages and accused FreeRepublic.com as a hate site same as DU?

I do, and I hated him from that day forward.
Maybe GEOTUS wants Mulehead to know its personal with him too.
Remember that made up story from last year? We were told that Trump was really meeting with Mueller because Mueller was going to be a white hat SC approved by Trump?
As I said back then, it really was what it appeared to be, an interview for the position of FBI Director.
The Mueller report claims that Mueller was not seeking the FBI Director job.
It quotes Bannon for the claim that Mueller was just there to be asked about his ideas generally about how the FBI should be run (or something along those lines).
But was Bannon even in the meeting? Was Bannon just reciting hearsay?
Bob Mueller was in the meeting with Trump. Why doesn’t the Mueller report quote Bob Mueller on this topic?
Rod Rosenstein was in the meeting with Trump. Why doesn’t the Mueller report quote Rosenstein on this topic?
Remember, Mueller was only a private citizen and not a law enforcement officer at the time of this meeting.
If he straight up lied to President Trump about what he was doing in that meeting, Mueller himself could be exposed to criminal liability.
bill was ALWAYS anti-Blogs/News-sites because he was competing with them- He felt threatened by the fact that news channels on TV were taking a beating- and he was always spouting off about it- you could tell he was very jealous of their success
No doubt Bill remains in a state of controlled shock about his lightening quick fall from grace. He was Number One on Fox for years back in the Ailes Era.
Charlie Rose, the same story, except his own Lib friends turned on him during that first manic wave of #MeToo.
My first thought.
Bill should not have talked about his conversation with Pres Trump.
O’Reilly needed some long absent attention.
Doesn't he have a loofah to play with?
“And I doubt Trump even called this has been in the first place.”
Same here. I can say the clown is lying. Why believe a Never Trumper?
I doubt that Trump would appreciate O’Reilly making the public aware of that phone call.
Not at all IMHO.
Trump doesn’t need an O’Reilly proxy.
He says what he wants directly.
All those hearings and O’Reilly’s name wasn’t mentioned once! Unforgivable!
