I can remember Judge Wapner years ago asking more than one participant in his show - DID YOU BRING YOUR TV (your car etc.)TO THE SHOP?
Additionally - I can think of many other places I’d prefer for vacation - none would include the Dominican Republic or vicinity.

It’s been a long time since I was taught grammar. Serious (not snarky) question —
I thought that Take was for removing a thing from something. “The tow truck took my car to the shop”.
I thought that Bring was for moving a thing towards something. “The ambulance brought her to the hospital”.
Is this incorrect?
