Thinking women’s happiness single and no kids is an age related sliding scale graph that starts as a positive maximum at 18, crosses the zero at about 45-50 and plunges to negative number after that.

My experience with friends backs this up.

I'm 53 and I'm very happy not to have had kids. But I never wanted them. And I work with kids all day, so when I get home, I'm glad it's quiet and clean and I can finally relax.
