We get all kinds of sharks up and down The Jersey Shore. Ocean White Tips, Blues, Tiger sharks, even had a Thrasher show up one summer. And we have “Mary’’. Mary is a 14 foot Great White who has been prowling around off shore. She even goes as far north as the Rockaways in NY and cruises back down our way. Now Montuak Point, Long Island. Great White's love hanging out there.

Yes, but according to someone on this thread, you're supposed to know for a fact that this particular shark species was/is completely harmless and no threat whatsoever to the woman swimmer, even though it had steadily moved in on her prior to her rapidly swimming away toward the shore.
