There used to be people here who would sit on Drudge Report and hit Refresh, Refresh, Refresh, and as soon as a new story popped up, they would RUN over here and post it.

Because they got the Scoop. And Drudge got the Scoop. And there'd be about 14 threads from Drudge, all on the same topic, in about 45 seconds.

And this still happens. But not to the extent that it used to occur.

Used to be if you posted a dupe - you were gonna get flamed. But not any more. Used to be the mods took down duplicate threads. But again - not any more.
