A man mauled by another passenger’s emotional support dog on a Delta Air Lines flight has sued the airline and the other passenger for negligence.

The lawsuit filed in Fulton County state court alleges Marlin Jackson was in a window seat when a dog sitting in the lap of the passenger next to him suddenly attacked his face and pinned him against the window of the plane.

A big difference. One combat vet can always talk to another, especially those they served with.

I had never heard of it either before I met her.

Anyways, it’s labeled as a service dog on his harness, not a *support* animal.

Actually, it keeps them (muzzies) FAR away from you, everywhere, especially if the dog is black.

Perhaps there is an up side to the support animals aspect after all.....

The combat Vets I knew who were in group therapy in 1989-90 all said the weekly war story therapy made them worse.

_____________

Group therapy for PTSD needs to be skills teaching.

And there is no way I am going to sit in a seat with a dog next to me, or any rows near me.

And how is it that a dog gets to stay on someone’s lap. I can’t do that with my duffel bag while in flight. They make me Stowe it for safety. What is different about an unrestrained dog?

Because of the proliferation of “support” animals it is time for animals to be banned from aircraft altogether along with their clients.

Wouldn’t muzzles for these (alleged) service animals be advisable for airplane travel? Or would there be a problem with that? I’ve been more on the biting end than the controlling end of dogs and have no idea of the practicality.

I wonder if they feel the same way about dogs as pigs, in that they would NOT want to have their bits intermingled with a dog’s, should they explode?

Be a good way to keep terrorists off of planes, if so.

Emotional regulation skills, and skills to dispute and reform the thoughts on the hamster wheel in the brain to start, as well as life skills, planninig skills, and the step into voc skills if needed.

Muzzles make perfect sense

I had to muzzle that white face bull dog girl on my homepage

She was a murderess to other females and other animals

A slattern though for male dogs

Total lush

On her back.... paws up for any male of consequence showed up

138 pound Johnson bulldog lol

Possibly the first time I’ve ever seen “slattern” used in a sentence on FR.

Epic.

:D

Because it’s really hard to stuff a dog into an overhead compartment?

I think there is a seizure dog....usually smallish....that can tell when a seizure prone child is about to lift off and alert

So parents can medicate early to lesson the severity or prevent it

Folks don’t use Rottweilers or Cane Corsos for that ...lol

One fascinating factoid is they can’t be trained to alert to impending seizures...they just know or they lack that inherent skill

Isn’t that amazing?

I love my dogs....God was wise with that gift

I chronologize my life via relationships with women I’ve loved or dogs I had

Somewhere between slag and slut lies the much maligned slattern

Poe I think used the term more than anyone.....

I know a few Doberman seizure alert dogs.
And diabetes and syncope alert Dobes.
Seven knows if I’m going to suddenly fall to one side before I do and rushes to brace me.
Didn’t teach her that.
Didn’t know she knew it, even, until one night in a used book store.
I would’ve cracked my head if she hadn’t shoved 100 pounds against the falling side and kept me upright.
Bubby stood watch while I slept and averted full blown night terrors by gently putting his face alongside mine until I woke up.
If a human had tried to intervene, I would have come up fighting but he knew how to short circuit them *just so*.

A dog can tell *everything* about you by smell.

Some naturally actively intervene.

Dogs are miracles.

Hrafn’s favorite thing is to check women to see if they’re pregnant.

He’s frighteningly accurate and I’m always conflicted...do I say something to the lady upon whom he has alerted?

:D
