In the world of clandestine intelligence operations, discovery is an ever-present danger. Operations are by definition risky. Operators, assets and projects are regularly compromised. You plan in advance for such eventualities, and you structure your networks so that they can survive adversity.
...
The network waits out the scrutiny and resumes work when things have cooled off and attention has been drawn elsewhere.
Such, in all likelihood, is exactly what is happening right now with those individuals who were part of what increasingly seems to have been a deliberate, carefully planned effort to destabilize a sitting President, overturn the results of a free and fair election and, in effect, to stage the first coup in American history.
...
Is it possible that every single individual involved in this plot has now been fired or resigned? Perhaps. It is highly unlikely. This was a plot that appears to have spanned several continents and involved what appear to have been numerous sources and contacts with multiple foreign intelligence services. An operation on such a scale would likely have involved dozens of officers from multiple agencies, even if closely held.
Where are they all now?

True, but the CABAL is not the only threat/problem. It may be the core, but it is surround and protected by a mantle of people in the government who are inherently liberal and who sympathize, if not abet, those who plotted against the president.
There can be little doubt about the existence of Spygate and the political weaponization of federal agencies by now. Given that reality, why do we not hear any federal employees or their unions expressing concerns about what's going on inside the government?
Where's the outrage and disgust at all the corruption, partisanship and damage to the reputations of their agencies? There is NONE.
Their silence is deafening. Which can only lead to the conclusion that there are many feds who condone what happened. And that, my FRiend, is a related problem that needs to be recognized and corrected.
Hillary’s name seems to surface very little, only at the front end, as in paying for the dossier.
So where did all of the collected information go? Were the people spying on Trump unaware that there was also a presidential campaign going on? I kind of doubt it. So who was fed this information in the Hillary campaign and how was it used? Who knew the information was illegally obtained? Did Skunk Cabbage herself know?
To quote Master Comey - ‘so many questions’.
Everyone wants to know how high up this went. I want to know how low it went.
I want to hear from John Carlin
Obama’s deputy AG of National Security Division of DOJ. All FISAs would go through his office and have his signature on them.
He resigned 3 weeks before the election of 2016. What did he know?
Yes, but how many other “obamas” did/do they have?
These people dont need to be told what to do (speaking about thwarting the progress of the T.E.A. party and other patriot groups). Youll never find a memo that says go do this or that. These people go into their positions knowing full well what is expected of them.
~~~
And they meet, either in larger social situations, or in more intimate situations, where I’m sure they share more of their strategic discretions.
These people may not be geniuses, but they’re smart enough to be aware all the time about what is going to end up in the records. That’s also part of what they share with each other. It also makes it harder to coordinate on specifics though.
Hillary wasn’t the first person to try to hide her email communications from the very government that she was supposed to be working for. She was just the most bungled and high profile.
If you remove the Rats from the IRS, no one will be left.
you say that like it is a bad idea.
It makes my head spin when I hear that fool Hannity start with his 99.9% honest at FBI/CIA. Both agencies are rotten to the core. I say go full on Stalinist purge of these apparatchiks.
I Agree! Outstanding post, Louis.. and profile page I might add. Bookmarked.
I've always thought the same thing. The guy goes from nowhere to President. The MSM corporate media completely covers his ass, and his cabinet is a perfect collection of deep-state apparatchiks, most of whom he himself would never have known or even heard of. A dreamy socialist who immediately bails out banks, and starts several wars overseas. Would all of that have been his natural instinct? He was sure to implement the globalist policies though. They even gave his wife a major makeover and reconstructed public image while in office.
Many are simply sick of the malice of government and lump all politicians together. It will be the genius of Trump to cut this Gordian knot and restore trust in a government that serves rather than rules the people.
Trump can clean up the executive branch but not the legislative branch. Nearly all politicians, shortly after arriving in the Swamp, quickly decide that their office affords them an elite life with lots of perks. They also have lots of supporters and staffs (in DC and in district offices) who want, and depend on them, to remain in office for as long as possible. In short they are strongly motivated and incentivized to stay in congress.
Its also worth noting that after living in this rarified atmosphere for awhile the thought of being defeated and having to go back from whence they came, resume their old life, and basically return to being a ‘nobody’ becomes a frightening if not humiliating prospect.
In DC this phenomena is referred to as Potomac Fever. And there’s no cure for this ‘disease’.
So...this condition changes people into money seeking machines. And a lot of that comes in large doses from industry, special interest groups, and well heeled individuals with their own agendas.
The politicians may have come to DC with idealistic notions but that soon turns into something entirely different. They learn to serve the hand that feeds them.
Until that system changes, the people in congress will keep serving themselves and their masters, not us.
Please see my #21. Its related to your comment.
Headquarters is the same. There is no love for Trump or Republicans there either. Very biased agency as are most.
It seems that Christopher Wray is not suspected as being part of the coup but I sure don’t trust him as far as allowing and facilitating investigations that get to the bottom of the coup. To a lesser extent, I’d put Gina Haspel in that category too. A total purging and restructuring of all the intelligence agencies is required...the rot goes very deep.
The excuse that lower level people were simply “doing their job “ didn’t work at Nuremberg and it shouldn’t work now. They are as guilty as the higher ups because they facilitated their treason.
Agree. Please see my #21.
Hear. Hear.
“The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.”
Condoned? well maybe but also consider that the Obama administration was run exactly the same as the Soviets in the days of the Chernobyl disaster.If you knew what was good for you and your family, you kept your mouth shut.
All liberals think and act like true communist and therefore they govern the same way.
