BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Around half of eligible voters cast their ballot in European elections, a bloc-wide estimate showed on Sunday, the first time turnout has risen in four decades of continent-wide voting. The increased enthusiasm was seen by some commentators as a response to challenges ranging from climate change to the rise of eurosceptic parties. For 27 of the 28 EU states - all except the United Kingdom - the estimate came at 51%, a European Parliament official said.

Sounds like wishful thinking. The rise in participation will hopefully be due to more European voters rejecting Brussels and seeing participation as the only way to fight back. Euro-Deplorables, if you will.

Nigel Farage, the leader of the just-created Brexit Party, is cleaning up the British votes. Nigel Farage is the Donald Trump of Great Britain, and in extension Europe.
For the rest of the continent, Trump-like candidates are the most successful, most probably the result of their own invasion of Southern Europe by what should be illegals. Hopefully that crap will stop and Make Europe Somewhat Great Again.
