This lefty fool is painting a target on the back of all of his employees by declaring the business as a "gun free zone". This announcement will simply attract more deadly robberies to occur at a soft target. Idiot needs to work some late night shifts and demonstrate his "de-escalating" skills.

The employee could rightfully claim to have feared for his life. In such a situation, the company is utterly wrong to expect someone to continue "de-escalating" the situation even at the risk of his own life.
