If I lived in Oregon (never heard of the company) you wouldn't see me putting shade on their doorway.
We not only have a right but an obligation to defend ourselves. Now people will say it’s “just stuff” and give them what they want - but there’s no way to know what someone is going to do in that kimd of situation. By definition a robber is threatening to kill you if you don’t comply. They just increase the number of incidents by showing weakness. It doesn’t mean store clerks need to go all Dirty Harry on folks, but they need that option.
When I was a little kid my brother and I were visiting a relative in a suburb of Chicago, we snuck out and walked to a 7-11 very late at night, I can’t remember if they were open all night by that time. Anyway the parking lot was empty, and the clerk was fast asleep. We helped outselves to some chewing gum and candy and tiptoed out the door.
"... the company should be called Plaid PANTY for the CEOs policy of employees carrying guns."

You're paying me nine bucks an hour and I have no right to defend myself against any junkie with a knife or a rock? Piss on that!
The employers find it cheaper to replace dead employees, than to get sued.
Employer has liability if an employee fires a gun and a bullet hits a bystander,or if shot robber sues for use of excessive force. Employer has no liability if a robber kills an employee.
