We should support blogs like this that get the word out there.

I don't support blogs mainly because JimRob wants the discussion to happen here, on FR, not on some random blog.

Then there's the whole thing about clicks and impressions revenue made off FReepers. Lastly, without visiting, there's no telling what type of malware the site may be trying to install.

I know that FR will never attempt to make clicks and impression revenue off my visit, nor do I have to worry about malware when visiting.

I can't say the same for every blog out there.

The animosity toward anything new or blog posts, which are allowed, has driven many away and driven many to choose not to donate out of disgust.

How you know that many have been driven away because of the animosity toward blog posts?

There is no good reason to excerpt blog material when posting here.

JimRob, himself, has stated that he doesn't mind if bloggers post here, but he wants their entire material posted here so the discussion takes place here, on Free Republic instead of some random blogger's site.

Bloggers excerpt their own material in an attempt to drive traffic to their sites to make money through clicks and impression ad revenue.

Something FR doesn't do.

Like JimRob, I don't mind bloggers who post their material. I do mind when bloggers post excerpts of their own material to make money off my visit to their site.

I am not a twitter person. Try as a might, I could find neither a text story nor a video. Is there one?

I am one of those old fashioned types, that unless there is a link to YouTube, or LiveLeak, or even WorldStarHipHop, or some other video streaming service, I cannot imagine a video.

And if there is *nothing* in the text that can steer me to where there *is* text or video, I got nothing.

Apparently it’s not enforced.

I’m not 100% sure the drop in participation is due to attacks on bloggers or new people it it sure doesn’t help. Even I don’t participate like I used to because of the intransigence of a good portion of old timers. FR is not what it used to be for some reason. It’s not just people dying. There is a great deal of animosity on this site that wasn’t there before.
