Yes they ARE dangerous enemies, but they are not prosperous.
Socialism always degenerates into one of two modes - a military dictatorship, or an unending chaos of lawlessness and anarchy. And it only lasts as long as they can use other people’s money. When that runs out, either the military dictatorship goes to war with its neighbors and steals it from them, or the insurrections are no longer contained. Sometimes both at once.
Socialism is a command-and-control economic program, power always devolving to a relative few at the tip, and the rest is the politics of the anthill.
They lack the hundreds of years of political, social, infrastructure that the Western Christians of Great Britain gave to modern man via the Magna Carta and patent law.
Communists have moved on from economics as the main focus of their ire. What we have today are the neo-Marxists who emerged in the mid 20th century (Habermas, Deleuze, Foucault, etc.) and introduced Marxist ideologies into everything from social sciences, to humanities to art. Everything was viewed through a Marxist lens and the paradigm of power structures and oppression. It has infiltrated all aspects of society..
