2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg has accused President Donald Trump of pretending to have an injury so he could avoid serving in the Vietnam War.Buttigieg claimed that Trump 'manipulated' the system to get a diagnosis allowing him to avoid the draft.I have a pretty dim view of his decision to use his privileged status to fake a disability in order to avoid serving in Vietnam, Mr. Buttigieg said at a Washington Post event.

Was the doctor disciplined who diagnosed him?
“So what unit was ButtGag in?”
....
He was “Rear Eschelon”.
Conducting a rear guard action!
ROFL...
Genghis Khan had battery cables?
good question. did Peter lie in any way to get into the army?
Mayor Petey was in his 20’s when that article was written 2011 so he probably didn’t read it. Probably too busy getting to know his ‘real’ self and “gay” lifestyle.
It appears that buttgig got in under the rules of don’t ask don’t tell. He wasn’t exactly forthright about his sexual orientation. That’s just a little short of falsifying his enlistment papers.

So anything you say about anything is suspect and I would never acknowledge you as anything other than a faggot.
So go away.
assuming he did this, I also have a dim view of what a much younger, liberal democrat like Trump did to avoid serving. He should have run to Canada like all the good liberals did.
I presume the democrats in the house will now subpoena these medical records, and force testimony from doctors who treated him over the years, as part of their “oversight”.
THat is interessting, because he didn’t become 4-F until 1972, and the draft was virtually over by that time. No new draftees were brought in after 1972.
Did they seem like they came in under Johnson’s “Project 100,000”?
I took a US History class in college back in 1984 or so. During one of the lectures the professor said something about “4-F.” Apparently he got a classroom full of blank faces looking back at him, because he asked how many of us knew what 4-F meant.
I think maybe 4 or 5 of us out of 30 to 40 raised our hands. I wasn’t much older than most of the other students, but I was one of the few who knew. My brother’s number came up in 1968 or 69 and he went for his physical; he came back with 4-F status. IIRC it was his blood pressure (it certainly wasn’t because our family had any pull or influence!)
I’d be surprised if many people under 55 or 60 have a clue what “4-F” means.
I did read something about that many years later. There was one guy in particular that I encountered in BCT. He had the classic Down Syndrome face and his IQ couldn't have been any higher than 60. The DIs rode him relentlessly...he was *our* Private Pyle. But he stuck it out until the day before we graduated...he went AWOL.
I hope when they found him...if they did...he was given some kind of medical discharge.
So he was a rear eschelon boyfriend bleeper?
Anyone older than 60 knows that
4-F means ...
Find e’m, Finger ‘em, F**k ‘em, Forget ‘em.
I could care less. Lord if anyone manipulated the system it was Bill Clinton.
