CBS "This Morning" or CTM - rebranded to be worse (vanity)

OK, This week, BS "This Morning" started with their new crew. Don't ask me why (my wife) this is on in our house. Probably because we enjoy the local CBS news station in the morning for local weather and updates in our area and it gets left on.

Anyway, CBS had a big shakeup due to being LAST in the morning and LAST in the evening news with Jeff Glor (Who nobody ever heard of after years) being replaced by equally vacant headed NorDUH O'Donnell.

Here's my take on the new morning show. UNWATCHABLE

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Miscellaneous; TV/Movies
KEYWORDS: oprah
1) Gayle King - ugh, if she wasn't besties with Oprah she wouldn't be on the air. She feels it necessary to make a personal biased (she hates Trump and Conservatives) commentary after ever stinking story. Often her commentary is longer than the story - Seriously, did she really rise to fame because of that gawd awful R. Kelly interview. Sheesh, very low standards.

The two new guys - well they are equally biased against Trump. The "new" show seems to be doubling down on their hate filled significantly noticeably liberal biased approach to all reports.

Instead of getting better, the show is getting worse. No unbiased news reports, slanted corrupt fake news at every level, I suspect the lowest rated morning news will get even lower ratings. Gayle, you are not Oprah. And boys, start acting like men.

C-BS is probably being propped up by Soros and folks like him. Money sucked down a rat whole in droves.

It is too easy to allow television programming to wash over me. You give them permission to program your thinking if you watch them.

Why do we need to leave the TV on? Are our brains programmed to crave the stimulus from their programing portal in our homes?

Listen to a good audio book.

I’m strictly antenna...

and the only thing I can say in defense of CBS morning is that they have way less nauseating, ridiculous fluff than ABC and NBC.

Still, I maybe watch 10 minutes of it at 7 and then I’m done.

We are so far out of the demographic they are going for that it really doesn’t matter what someone over 50 thinks.

The only show I found that is “watchable” is Maria’s show on Fox Biz. Not as much fluff. People actually “think” on the show. And they call success and failure.

Its a nice change.

What would be nice, in my opinion, is for conservatives to inundate network and local news sources with feedback and pushback.

The ability to do so is much easier these days with the advent of social media.

When a “journalist” at your local channel 5, for example, just repeats what she has heard on CNN, they need to hear about it. Go to the stations Facebook page or Twitter feed and post THE INFORMATION LEFT OUT.

maybe send notice to the advertisers that you expect they probably want OBJECTIVE news, not Anderson Cooper’s talking points repeated.

That would be helpful I'm sure. But these media types are adamant about their Leftist religion.

CBS has been dead last in the morning ratings since a guy named Walter Cronkite was trading quips on the am show with a lion puppet named Charlemene back in 1954. The latest shuffle won’t change things.

Here’s the irony: a couple of years ago, it looked like Gayle King was on the way out. She didn’t get along with Norah O’Donnell, who was viewed as the real “star” of the program, along with Charlie Rose. Then, Rose was revealed as a serial harasser of women by the Me Too movement, and was fired by the network. His replacement, John Dickerson, flopped.

Meanwhile, the CBS Evening News was losing ground as well, with Jeff Glor in the anchor chair. So, Norah O’Donnell got the nod to replace him (and move the broadcast to Washington), leaving Gayle King as the remaining anchor from the original team. And, for some reason, that interview with pedophile singer R. Kelly was hailed as a great moment in American journalism, and she leveraged that into a new deal which doubled her salary at CBS.

And, she has new co-anchors who know their role as supporting players. Anthony Mason has been around CBS for more than 30 years and this is his first permanent shot as an anchor at a daily program. The other male anchor has been with CBS less than five years and isn’t about to rock the boat by challenging the queen.

CTM has become the “Gayle King Show,” and you’ll soon see why she was a marginally successful local anchor in places like Kansas City and Hartford before using her Oprah connections to get the job at CBS.

She is terrible, she HAS to opine after every story, it's very annoying.

The suits (and talent) at NBC and ABC must have been popping the champagne corks when they heard CBS was re-tooling their morning show around Gayle King. For a time, when King was paired with Charlie Rose and Nora O’Donnell, it was showing ratings growth. But it’s been in a downward spiral since Rose was fired and O’Donnell has clearly been maneuvering for the Evening News when it became apparent Jeff Glor was going to get the hook.

Give it about 18 months; you will start to see stories about poor ratings for CTM, despite Gayle King’s big contract, along with “insider” accounts on how difficult she is to work with. That will be followed by “discussions” among CBS execs about possible replacements. And sure enough, a couple of months later, Gayle and her co-anchors get the boot, and CBS relaunches the show for the 364,000th time.

The only CBS news I watch is Sunday Morning, and that’s because I’ve had an unshakeable crush on Jane Pauley since forever.

What is also amazing is how they laugh their rears off when they play snippets of their late night hosts making brutal fun of Trump.

This is called grown up bullying. The libs are bullies, and then they moan about bullying in schools. Where do they think these kids are getting their encouragement?
