Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli are actively involved in their defense after being charged in the college admissions scandal, a source familiar with their cases tells PEOPLE.
Theyre both very type A, says the source, and theyre figuring out what to do next. They are both mounting a vigorous defense against the charges.

Wow, that sounds like my ex. Type B. I'm sure they'll try to pack the jury with Oprah-watching "you-go-girl" types
Studying and hard work is for the little people.
I used to follow Loughlin on twitter until her pro-Hillary posts made me sick and I un-followed. I have no sympathy for her now, knowing she’s a Hillary supporter.
Exhibit one, the u tube of their younger babe saying she just wanted to go to USC for the parties. That should hold some jury attention.
I love her other comment that she did not need to go to college because she got far on her ability. If she had no name recognition she would have gotten as far as my step daughter who wanted to open a restaurant with no money just her “plans”.
Her husband gave money to Marco Rubio, gee guess he wishes he had gotten a refund LOL
There is a big difference between writing a $500K check to a college to buy a spot at the front of the admission line and writing a $500K check to a third party to change SAT results, fake an athletic scholarship, and otherwise fraudulently get your kid to the front of the line.
The problem is $500K will not buy you a spot at the front of a top tier college admission line anymore. It would cost several million dollars to buy off USC. What is a poor rich liberal who is not a politician supposed to do?
“Mommy, mommy, I wanna go back to college NOW! I’m missing all the good parties and stuff!”
Yeah, USC has too many settlements to pay for a measly 500K.
Why am I the only one not “outraged” and demanding jail for them? How is what they did any different than what the rich do every year for their lackluster kids by handing millions to the school “officially”?
Let's say your rich entitled kid wants a $200,000 sports car. What is the difference between paying $200,000 to buy it at a dealership and paying $50,000 for someone to steal one for you?
I am not "outraged" by it, but I do think that rich entitled liberals should at least be held to the same standard as some poor schmuck who writes hot checks or commits credit card fraud.
Laughlin left a huge paper and elecronic trail.
Type A? Sounds more like desperate.
Theirs being Hollywood lawyers @ something north of $1,000/ hr. all that yakking can eat up $1,000,000 or more like a summer in Saudi will eat up in ice cube in the desert. Even if she and her hubby win, they’ll still probably be about $10,000,000 lighter than they were before they went into the fight. Just ask retired Lt. Gen. Flynn.
Quid pro quo.
Illegal when you are bypassing the schools stated, public rules they claim to apply equally to everyone for admissions.
If it’s above board, why was it being hidden and kept quiet? If you can buy your kid a spot in a school and the school is open about it and the parents are open about it, and they can take whatever reaction others have about it, great.
“Unless she has the goods on so many other Very Important People that she can go scorched-earth and get herself off with threats to take them all down with her.”
Indeed, and that’s how she and her hubby gat ratted out in the first place by their “college admissions counsellor.”
Their going to be Type F’d, once the verdict comes in.
They are worth $100m. That’s plenty for mounting a defense against the Feds. Honest services theft is generally a charge levied against the gatekeepers lining their own pockets, not the ones providing the cash to do so. I think Loughlin & hubby will walk and all of the people who made plea deals resulting in prison time and felony convictions, despite having the money to fight this out in court, will regret having done so.
Again, imagine you own a chain of stores. A supplier secretly approaches one of the managers of your stores, and pays the manager a $100,000 bribe to order their product. In this case, not only is the owner wronged, but so are the other product supplies who got their products displaced.
