There is more to this story. 18 year old and pregnant means she most likely had already her health and health of baby abandoned by the pimp as a means to bully her into an abortion or death of her own.
This was a situation beyond her choice.

The cure for preeclampsia is to deliver the baby
Not kill the baby
A live delivery via C section would be much faster than killing the baby and cutting it apart to get it out, and certainly faster than injecting saline and trying to induce delivery, possibly of a live baby near full term in a process that endangers the mother by every minute of delay
I have been through preeclampsia and an emergency C section and by that, Imean EMERGENCY
