This bizarre redefinition of reality attempts to "correct" those who think they know what socialism is (if they think it's bad) and to show how good it is.
Around the one minute mark in the video, one minute mark - we're shown the continuum between capitalism and communism on opposite ends of the scale, and the video goes on to claim socialism lies in between those extremes, and "Democratic Socialism" lies in between traditional socialism and capitalism, and then how AOC and Bernie Sander's proposals (Medicare for all and Free College) lie right next to capitalism (the video drags the red balloons over to fit between "Democratic Socialism" and Capitalism. In this way, they try to prove that "Democratic Socialism" is MUCH better and therefore cannot be compared with any other actual socialist country.
COMMUNISM- The government takes the fruits of your labor and gives it to others. If you refuse the government arrests you.
SOCIALISM- The government politely takes the fruits of your labor and gives it to others. If you refuse the government arrests you.
DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM - The government, at the request of 51% of voters, politely takes the fruits of your labor and gives it to others. If you refuse the government arrests you.
Democratic Socialists do not believe in using force . . .
Well, that is unless, of course, you say or think something that is deemed unacceptable by their special PC police.
Of...course it is. We can't have that.
And to Leftists to whom words mean everything and reality and history mean nothing, that is a very serious problem they must combat.
God forbid "Socialism" (And ESPECIALLY "Democratic Socialism") get dragged down by "incorrect meanings".

Democrat socialism: the illusion that socialism will turn out just swell if implemented correctly, even though it never worked before, and the Democtats know how to make it work.
Socialists never discuss productivity. They never consider the incentive to work, that great rewards promote great progress. And they never comprehend that one person can literally be 1000x more productive than another.
Socialists think wealth is fixed and durable, merely needs “fair redistribution”. They don’t comprehend that wealth can be created & destroyed, it’s fragile.
Every single "example" touted as an improvement for the United States is requiring socialism on a national scale.
The kiddies in "colleges" have no clue what socialism on a national scale can lead to.
I was lucky enough to have seen a tiny but quite real bit of it with my own eyes.
In 1974 I was working at TI and there was a lady there that was very outspoken on most all news subjects.
One day she pulled up her sleeve, sure enough there was a crude 6 digit number between her elbow and wrist.
I can still remember it clearly to this day.
Socialism on a national scale can be a very real thing here and it will not have anything to do with free college or medical care.
It will be the root cause of a very real war.
