Koepka struggled down the stretch in his defense of his PGA Championship title. After four straight bogeys he saw his lead over Dustin Johnson briefly cut to one shot on the back nine.

Koepka becomes the first player to hold back-to-back titles in two majors at the same time, winning two straight U.S. Open and two consecutive PGA Championships.

Attended yesterday, he was a machine and nobody could put anything together to threaten him, he’s got a bright future with the game.

Like the tortous and the hare, DJ almost overcame the “insurmountable” 7 shot lead Brooks had going into final day.

You know, I'm beginning to think this guy is pretty good.

Congratulations Brooks Koepka!

The course was brutal today. Brook’s hung on. DJ played a great round consider the winds.

I’ve sort of been following his progress when I first saw him on the Golf Channel playing in an obscure European Tour mini tour event. The kid has done it the hard way going overseas and playing lots of dog tracks in obscure venues for peanuts. He toughed it out and learned his trade very well. His demeanor reminds me of Dustin Johnson but Koepka does not seem to have a past clouded with cocaine and screwing every split-tail in the forest. He also plays a mixed bag of gear where every club seems to be the best fit for him regardless of who makes it.

Shouldn’t the title of this thread and all the headlines read:

“Tiger Woods doesn’t win PGA”

I am not a Tiger hater by any means. I am just pointing out that since his comeback began the sports media has reported on every golf tourney from the perspective of Tiger.

Congrats to Brooks Koepka. He had a heckova four days of golf.
I like when the scores are not runaway lows. Seems this course was a true challenge.
Miz Kris was up there for the practice round. Got me a hat, shirt, and a few autographs.

Nice to see some new kids and fellow North Carolinians doing well. Great tourney all around. d:^)

He has 6 PGA wins, 4 of them majors.

He has back to back US Opens and back to back PGAs, and that should be good enough for the Hall of Fame.

Watched every minute yesterday and today. Koepka is talented, interesting to watch. I hope he continues to win—stars are good for the game.

It would be, but Tiger wasn’t there. He missed the cut 2 days earlier. Of course that was the news then, along with Koepka’s 7 stroke 36-hoke lead.

Had to dig deep mentally and physically at the end...and had the class to admit he was glad there weren’t any extra holes to play...

Tiger doesn’t win stories are like Danica stories before she quit racing. Danica Danica Danica...BTW, Truex beat Harvick by a nose.

Guy has zero personality and a powerful game. Hall of fame for sure, but not another Tiger IMHO. As far as Tiger, I think his only chance for another major could be The Open Championship. If he doesn’t contend in the next few his quest to beat Jack’s major record is going to be over. He will still be one of the top two players in history for now.

I saw his press conference last night and Koepka had plenty of personality, which also happens to be a good mental fit for golf. He is as mentally tough as he is physically strong. We will see if he can continue this crazy pace of piling up Major Championships.
