Sorry, got distracted. Cooking dinner, the usual Sunday evening interaction with the wife, which thank God is preferable to a thousand other things I could be cursed with. I'll give the pig a good shot of pure peach smoke, now that you mentioned it. I like my smokiness about a 6 or 7 on a ten scale - I like to taste the meat under it, but love that smokiness. Never tried pear, but my Keifer tree is about eight feet high and the trunk is only about as big around as my thumb at this point. I don't get it - I put in a Granny Smith apple tree that had the neighborhood kids raiding every other year at the old house, and my peach tree grew like a fig tree after a couple of years. Peaches everywhere. Here? Bupkis. They get plenty of sun and water. Our hanging strawberry pots give me about three strawberries after the wildlife and grandkids get their fill. LOL Ah, well, such is life. Like I told the wife tonight, I'm at an age where I don't sweat the small stuff. Let's everyone enjoy themselves.
Nite, folks.
