Catching up on watching Eps 4 & 5 -- dang, does this all have a rushed feeling or what.
I think the throne is still standing. We will probably see the aftermath in tonight’s episode.
Fantastic Dragons graphics. Thank you.
Maybe they’ll turn Sam into a mad scientist who blows up the world. That would be so like his character for years now.
LOL!
Please keep it civil. Respect and maturity goes a long way.
Ill watch. But honestly, the show runners killed it. HBO wanted a 10 episode season but these guys sold them on six prolonged episodes that would have the feel of epic films. They sacrificed character development for spectacle. The story makes little sense. The penultimate episode was like a Godzilla flick.
Yes, I know Danys flip was foreshadowed. But as a college prof once told me, foreshadowing is not character development.
Many believe that Bran is EVIL and DID warge Drogon to roast King's Landing
Untrue. She has been bloodthirsty for years. Did she really need to roast alive the Tarleys instead of taking them prisoner? When she first appears at the slave city in Season 3 she tells them "I will burn cities to the ground". There is a good video on YouTube that summarizes all her vindictive actions and attitude.
She has been convinced since she walked out of the funeral pyre with 3 dragons that it was her destiny to rule. As she stared up at the Red Keep, she was likely convinced that Cersei would somehow live and Jon would be king. Had she stopped right there, he certainyl would have been. Her mass destruction was her only chance to stay queen and terrify the other cities into servitude.
Well, I guess Ghost got some pets like he deserved.
Ghost is back with his master.
Best ending ever!
Love that Ghost is reunited with Jon. And Big Red can still have a chance with Brienne.
There's the scene of Daenerys' vision in the House of the undying, in Qarth.
During this scene, she strolls through a wrecked throne room with most of the ceiling gone. The whole place looks like it's covered with snow, or what I thought was snow at the time, but after seeing the last episode, I think it's dust and ash.
The Iron Throne in this vision scene is intact. She walks up to it and places a hand on it, but distracted by a distant scream, and she pulls away.
Love it!
P.s. noticed Ghost is the only one it looks like whose ending had love in it.
Brienne is now the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. They take an oath to serve for life. They also give up the ability to own land, get married, or have children.
This is why Tywin Lannister was so upset when Jaime became a member of the Kingsguard, because Jaime was his heir to Castle Rock.
Of course you could say people did such and such out of love. But that is different.
