They’d be better students and people if they’d just work their way through.
I would never advise a kid to work while in school.
Why?
Not just six figure but mid six figure!
Well that was nice of him. :D
I am not an expert. I have education in human development, a couple of degrees, experience in teaching -home school and private school- and in parenting.
That said, in order to get the most out of school, one should focus on that, there is time after graduation to work and to pay back loans, more quickly with a higher paying job - which is logically, if not statistically, more likely after having achieved the best grades - more likely if the student is not also working.
The other, equally as important, aspect is that people need rest their minds need a rest.
Bother for study and as well creativity. A kid must consider what they want to do in life after school. Doing what one loves to do is more lucrative.
I promote nothing but school then work after graduation or grad school right away (except for MBA)
And no entangling relationships and no binge drinking. But none
Just my opinion
I would never say work and school together cant work.i just would never advise it
The other - equally as important - aspect is that people need rest. Their minds need regular rest. Too much unrelenting activity burns them out.
Regular recreation/leisure is vital. God commands that we take off Sunday to rest and we respond by saying were too busy.
Kids follow our lead so they are unaware that regular rest is important in development any gym rat trainer will tell you that
Leisure/playtime is import both for more efficient study time and as well creativity. A kid must take fun/creative time out to at least subconsciously consider what they want to do in life after/as a result of school.
Doing what one loves to do can be more lucrative which is more efficient in paying back loans than trudging through school doing way too much beyond aacademics
