FULL TITLE: 'My mental health couldnt handle being pregnant again': Tess Holliday reveals she got an abortion as a married mom-of-two, after sharing her struggle with postpartum depression
Tess Holliday has revealed she had an abortion as a mother-of-two because she couldn't mentally handle being pregnant again after suffering postpartum depression.
Using the viral hashtag #YouKnowMe, the 33-year-old plus-size model took to Instagram on Thursday to open up about her abortion in response to Alabama's decision to impose a near-total ban on the procedure, including those for victims of rape or incest.
'Im from Mississippi, living in California, married with 2 kids, & I had an abortion,' she wrote. 'If I was still down south, I might not have been able to get the abortion I wanted & needed.'
Tess, who has been candid about her struggles with postpartum depression on social media, has a two-year-old son named Bowie with her husband Nick Holliday and a 13-year-old son named Rylee from a previous relationship.
'My mental health couldnt handle being pregnant again & I made the best decision for ME & ultimately my family. It wasnt the "easy thing to do", it was excruciating on many levels, but necessary,' she explained. 'Do I regret it or question my choice? Not at all.'
Tess noted that many people in Alabama have had similar experiences, explaining that the 'majority' of those who had abortions in the state in 2017 were already parents.
'Did you know 1-4 women have had an abortion?' she asked. 'This isnt something that only affects women either.

You’re a murderer now Tess!

Lard ho.
“I’ve got fudge!”
She’s not fat, she’s just unskinny.
So her solution to preventing a bout of depression was killing her baby?
Plus 1 = Fat ***
Too bad for her dead baby and her other children who will never get to know their little brother (or sister) because mommy murdered him. But at least she’s happy about it.
I wonder if she ever heard of birth control?
How about the mental health of the life you ended?
I’m still waiting for the first fat-ass male model to strut down the catwalk.
Looking at that tub of lard should be birth control enough.
Psssst Tess, some Japaneses whalers were asking about you.
Tess rolls down the catwalk.
Something about flour and wet spot.
I see that picture, and all I can think of is: “Ahab beckons.”
well, then, let’s hope she learns how to avoid “needing” to murder any more babies
It was written by a NYC resident who was sitting in a gated playground/park area watching her toddler play.
Next to her on the bench were two other mothers watching their toddlers, and the subject of abortion came up between these other two.
The first one mentioned how she'd just gotten an abortion. The baby had been planned and was right on schedule, but then her husband recently was notified his employer was moving him to the West Coast.
She didn't want to have to deal with having a new baby at the same time as arranging the household move.
So they aborted the baby, and they would soon be moving, and after settling in they would start a new baby.
The other of the two women said she knew just how the first one felt. She and her husband had planned to have two children spaced a certain distance apart (2? 3 years?), but she got pregnant again too soon, which would mess up their perfectly-timed family planning, and so naturally they just had to abort "it".
The woman writing the op-ed didn't say anything to the other two women. But she felt compelled to write the op-ed, because it struck her hard just how great was the difference between reality, versus the constant pro-abort claim that these are always "gut-wrenching" / "heart-rending" decisions that are never taken lightly, and are always a "last resort" for desperate women.
