Full flaps and 40 knots is pretty slow/scary. Nobody makes final at that speed. If the wind dies for any reason you are stalling.

A jet you should do a bounce-n-go, and try again from scratch, due to spool-up latency. Agreeed. The only time an aviator should point his nose at the deck is in a bombing run or catching the 3rd wire.

"...crashed because (the pilot had never actually flow the plane...".

"Excuse me captain, can you fly?"
"Nope"

He as discussing small GA piston planes, a Prowler is a large jet airplane.
Some say they are even flown a bit differently.

Stall speed is something to avoid, even above the runway. Wings tend to do unconventional things at stall speed.

The pilot must have gone to a muslim flying school where they don’t teach you how to land.

It is rather misleading headline. From the preliminary investigation they had not only an autopilot failure but also most instruments disabled including airspeed and altimeter due to a lighting strike. The way pilots are trained these days that’s basically no chance for a smooth landing.
