Are conservative Republicans EVER invited to speak at commencement ceremonies?
A few years back, I went to my nephew’s medical school graduation.
The speaker was Eleanor Holmes Norton (a real stalwart in the medical community, dontcha know...)
Her topic?
“Common-sense gun control.”
Perhaps a quarter of those in attendance regularly stood and applauded, while the rest sat on their hands.

I am not attending my favorite niece’s Law School Graduation and it’s near here..luckily a cousin who was like a father to my husband died*, and his service is the same day...*he was 95 yr old WW2 vet. I researched who was speaking at her graduation...the guy who got “Gay” marriage passed in Oregon...he’s a “judge” with a “husband and 2 kids” ...then I researched as best as I could the past 10 years of speakers...NO INTELLECTUAL DIVERSITY WHaTSOEVER!
Maybe she was just using the postal abbreviation for Maine.

I would have walked out and flipped Norton my middle finger as I did so.
I’ve often heard Howie Carr allude to ‘rumors’ about Ms. Mills, especially when he was talking with Governor LePage. LePage chuckled but never took the bait. I’ve never been able to run down what those rumors were.
