I think in small amounts (black) coffee might be fine, even beneficial?
But usually the problem with coffee is all the other stuff that gets put in it, especially white sugar and other processed sugars like “Coffee Mate” aka “White Death” ...

Hm...does not make sense. A venti latte with nonfat milk is 107 calories. One quarter pound of sugar has about 440 calories. So does Starbucks add sugar to the latte?
